Gutter Guards
Gutter guards can be a useful addition for homeowners, but whether they are necessary depends on individual circumstances. They help prevent leaves, debris, and pests from clogging gutters, reducing maintenance and the risk of water damage. For homes in areas with heavy foliage, they can be particularly beneficial. However, in regions with minimal tree cover, they may not be as essential. Ultimately, it’s a matter of balancing convenience with cost, as some may find routine gutter cleaning sufficient.

A cost effective compromise, that is suitable for every gutter system, is installing 'gutter whiskers', AKA, 'gutter hedgehogs', above downpipes to prevent debris from entering the drainage/collection system.
